As the National Eisteddfod kicks off in Boduan, we’ve put together a playlist of Welsh music to accompany this year’s festival. From Adwaith to Rogue Jones, Gareth Bonello and Mari Mathias, it’s a playlist which celebrates the very best in Welsh music from some of the artists performing at this year’s festival, along with those nominated for the Welsh Album of the Year award.
The Eisteddfod takes place over the next ten days, with thousands expected to attend the festival site to take part in events celebrating music, literature, language, dance and the visual arts in Wales. The event is Wales’ largest cultural festival, attracting around 160,000 visitors each year and with a history dating back over 850 years. While the festival’s history may be rich, this year’s music events showcase some of the exciting artists currently making waves in the Welsh music scene.
The National Eisteddfod 2023 takes place from 5th – 12th August, in Boduan, near Pwllheli, further information on events and tickets can be found via the festival website.
